Construction Details:

From 3 patterns I customized the suit jacket, including tailoring to fit, and altering for the lapel and cuffs to match the art. As usual for me, I made muslin mock up first.

The right pinstripe fabric took many months to find, with success in the LA fabric district. I also got the lining there. I really enjoyed working with wool, steaming the sleeve caps to fit and pounding the seams.

I made my best attempt at lining up the stripes, especially for the bound and slashed pockets.

The ascot-cravat-tie I made with habotai silk.

The pants and shirt were bought.

And the belt buckle was actually finished in 2012. I sculpted the design in SuperSculpey and then resin cast it.

Personal Thoughts:

It has been fun cosplaying this more obscure character, because of the interactions with those that do know. <br />
This was the first time I attempted to make a tailored suit jacket.
