Construction Details:

Metal armor.

yes you read that right. I cold forged (meaning no fire) 20 gauge steel and tin mixed sheeting. I have a 55lb anvil now because of this project and I hope to use it again. The leather was all done by me, the props carefully made with Aspen wood and balance weighted!

Personal Thoughts:

MY FAVORITE! HUGE Berserk fan so being able to do this cosplay was one of my DREAMS! Metal armor, leather straps, oh man it's just a dream! I LOVE wearing this-however I found metal armor is NOT forgiving if you gain a little weight.<br />

NOTE FOR OTHERS: want to do metal armor for one project, my advice is DON'T. it is more expensive then thermo plastics (like worbla/wonderflex) more difficult to work with. It is not forgiving, it is ruthless. If you plan to make MANY a suit of armor and able to work under a craftsmen who knows and does this rather often, then go for it. it is a CHALLENGE and an expensive one. It is also VERY DANGEROUS. The tools you use can and will tear, rip, shatter or completely remove an appendage. So work with caution and safety equipment.
