Construction Details:

This was my fastest costume to make (so far), only about 2 weeks worth of time (evenings and some weekend time).



For patterning, I modified patterns for sweat pants, a tunic with flare sleeves, and the Folkwear Chinese coat.



For the under-tunic and white trim, I used a white cotton/linen mix from Dharma Trading.



For the "coat" and pants, I used a dark navy blue linen. I lined the pants with a lighter-weight white linen leftover from Sairin, because the blue linen was a little bit see-through.



Unlike normal for me on trims, I tried out Steam a Seam for the white bias trim I had made. It worked rather well for this costume.



While I almost always avoid polyesters because I overheat in them, for the sash I ended up using Silk Essence and it came out fine.



I made my own beads from Fimo.

Styling Notes

This wig was styled through a combination of efforts of two friends: Shokora and Inoli. Inoli did the finishing work, including final trimming and spraying with Got2BGlue and letting it dry sideways.
