About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Shoes were bought from ebay. Then I bought from brass findings from ebay, molded them and stuck them to shoes, via a tutorial from Atelier Heidi.
n
nThe little anklets were made using gold trim with flowers from Joann's glued on, and they close with hook and eye.
n
nThe skirt is a large circle skirt (peachskin) with the bottom gathered super tight and cut at a strange angle with slits in the side. The ruffle is attached separately, with hand dyed brocade on it, and hand painted trim above the brocade using a hand cut stencil.
n
nThe apron is also gradient dyed by hand, trim added, and Envel Cosplay made the stencil for the center, which I then used heat-n-bond and gold crepe-back satin to apply.
n
nThe over skirt was free handed and trimmed in the crepe back. The obi fabric is home decor fabric and made like...an obi, with the flower and bow attached directly on it.
n
nThe shirt is black stretch sateen with organza sleeves. The capelet (gradient dyed by hand, again) slips on top. All of the little gold flowers are made my hand.
n
nThe should pieces are just brocade covered in hand made bias tape (all of the bias tape was hand made. ugh).
n
nThe hat was made using a pattern for a child beret, and stuffed with polyfil, and then had combs added to stick in to the wig. The hat flowers, jewelry, and chest flower were made by Envel Cosplay. - Personal Thoughts:
- Way, way more details than expected. Picked these to wear with BFF Envel for Ikkicon.
n
nSince you can't ever see the full costume, these were a whole lot of fun to figure out. Mostly just a "do what you think is best", which I'm not very good at. I like to have structure.
