Construction Details:

The shoes were knee high boots that were purchased off of ebay. I cut them down into the shape and size I wanted, and used the extra fabric to make the boot cuff. Then, I spray painted the soles, and used sintra to made the rudders. In some pictures, there is only one rudder, this is because I used glue to hold the rudders on, when I should have used screws from the beginning. Live and learn.

nThe socks were bought of ebay for a whole penny!! Gloves are also from ebay. The chain is Halloween chains I got on clearance. I put two of them together to get the length I wanted. The anchor was carved out of pink insulation foam, then coated in resin and painted.

nThe skirt and top are made out of stretch sateen and denim (for the pink) and were easily modified patterns or a simple pleated skirt.

nThe rest of the boat parts are made from sintra, apoxie sculpt, and eva foam. Then all primed, spray painted, and sealed. Any little "rivets" are made using google eyes.

Personal Thoughts:

This is by far, the most revealing costume I've ever made.
