Construction Details:

We made them identical except for the bow. Uranus and Neptune according to the creator of Sailor Moon are, "a pair of complementary but opposite characters." We made my bow straight and her bow curly to try to give a little hint to that. My old Neptune wig went horrible, so this wig doesn't have my signature Neptune swoop bangs because I literally got it and pulled it out of the bag that weekend. The skirts are made using a ruffle tutorial and use dupioni fabric with premade ruffles. The arm bands are made of left over fabric and have attached jewels. The pendants are little knickknacks that I found and repainted and glued pearls onto.

Personal Thoughts:

This was a costume Blue Shoes came up with and executed in a week - yes a week. She found this awesome tutorial on the ruffles and asked me if I'd be interested in doing a burlesque version of our two favorite characters. Of course I said yes.
