Construction Details:

The base of the fuku is a modified swim suit pattern made out of moleskin spandex. It has elastic in both of the leg holes and finished seams in the arm holes and neck hole. The chest armor is a separate piece of moleskin spandex and has the three roles sewn on the shoulders. The collar, bows, skirt and ankle straps are made out of kona cotton and interfacing. The white stripe is sewn on bias tape. The skirt is made using Sparkle Pipsi's tutorial and has a moleskin spandex roll stuffed with poly-fill. Everything attaches to the base and armor with snaps so it can be cleaned. The heart is a soap mold colored with nail polish. The glove rolls are angled to be accurate to the art and filled with the same as the shoulder rolls. Shoes are recolored using a mix of acrylic and fabric paints to get the right color. The tiara is made out of worbla. Choker and shoe straps are fabric covered elastic and secured with snaps.

Personal Thoughts:

My all time favorite cosplay. Sailor Neptune has been my spirit animal since I was a child. Nothing means more to me than her and if I could only do one cosplay for the rest of my life, it would definitely be this one.

Seperated the bangs, curled, teased and smoothed before hair spraying into place.
