Construction Details:

This was one of my fun projects that I use in between big ones. My friends and I somehow got addicted to the wonderful campy-ness that is Monster High. Rennie was first with making her Draculaura, so a few other of my friends and I decided to make the rest of the crew. Anyone that knows me knows I hate body paint, but I really liked Frankie's design. I found the perfect plaid at Joanns and did a pleated skirt attached to a bodice style top. I then took white spandex and made the color and upper shirt part before attaching it with the black zigzag stitch that is shown in her design. I then took soft fish net and added it to large black elastic for her sleeves. The shoes were originally black and I took a white paint pen and added in all the stripes. The earrings were a lucky find in EPCOT Mexico pavilion. The tie I found at a halloween store and cut it to the right shape before sewing it onto the dress. The studs are from the scrapbooking section at Joanns, as well as the skull, which was originally a sugar skull I recolored and altered the shape of. Bodypaint is Aquacolor green mixed with white to give off the mint effect. Wig is Arda Wigs Billie Jean.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume was so much fun! The kids loved it and it was great to be sassy instead of princess-y.

Styling Notes

I pieced the wig into an half up-do. Then I teased the hair to give it a bump and clipped it back.
