Construction Details:

A very budgetful cosplay overall. The only fabric I had to buy was the lace overlay on the top, the white cotton and white lining in the skirt.

nNothing was really hard, but sewing with the lace was tricky as it made everything slick.
nI drafted the collar myself. The top started as a regular sleeveless shirt, but for pattern alterations, I elongated the front pieces so I could alter them to get that funkyish top. I did alter the bottom of the top a little.

nI went with my own creativity for the headpiece. I wanted more color than just daisies like in the picture, so I made several ribbon roses out of various colors of ribbon I already had. Since hot glue adds more weight, and also for extra security when dancing, I used 2 bow clips to hold it in place.

nI've had these shoes for a loooong time.

nThe skirt is a 2:1 gathered ratio elastic waistband since I really just didn't want to mess with a zipper. 4 Layers in this thing-the outer pink layer, a layer of white tulle that I already had, that I decided to leave a few inches longer that the skirt, a white cotton, and of course lining that is a few inches shorter than the skirt. I'm sooooo glad I decided to go with an elastic waistband for this. I worked so hard and long hemming this skirt-I went through a lot of anime episodes too.

nThis is one of those costumes that doesn't look too bad, but it's tedious.
