About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Wig: the wig was an amalgamation of white wefting I had from previous projects. The wefting was stitched together onto a base wig and then styled.
Flower: The head flower was created with craft foam. I molded the craft foam with a heat gun, and then painted it with an airbrush.
Bandeaux/Mantle: Both of these pieces are made of hand-dyed suede.
Cape: The cape is made of a poly suede cloth, which I finished by burning the edges to achieve a tattered look.
Gloves: The gloves are made from poly suede cloth that I airbrushed to look more distressed.
Spats: Fremy's extensive...spat things are constructed out of leather I recycled from thrift store leather jackets.
Rifle: I carved Fremy's rifle out of wood. I started with a 2*4 and routed out a groove for the pvc barrel. Small metal details on the gun are made with a combination of leather and thermoplastics. - Personal Thoughts:
- This costume was a quick and fun project that I took on last minute for my NDK 2015 lineup - because I had seen the first three episodes of the airing anime and fell absolutely in love with the atmosphere and pacing of the story. I knew I absolutely had to cosplay it, and better yet to cosplay it at the convention that was in two weeks of my first Rokka experience.
