Construction Details:

The base of the costume is a simple bodysuit made from holographic scale spandex. The fit is a bit off on the top of the suit due to me having to guesstimate how much it would stretch when it was taped down, and I plan to go back and take it in a bit. The boots attach to the bottom of the bodysuit with Velcro and the fins are glissinet with wire for the structure. All of the armor is worbla and it ended up a bit rougher than I wanted because I had to rush to finish it. My trident was a team effort between myself and my fiancé - we used a broom handle, worbla, and some EVA foam to get the overall shape.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume was designed by a good friend who wanted to put together a Disney Princess/Avengers mashup group. Ariel is one of my favorite Disney princesses and I had a lot of fun with the whole group.
