The large flower ribbons on the back were probably the most difficult because I had to figure out a way to make them detachable so I could sit properly; they're reinforced with wire to create the "defying gravity" effect (which is why I had to make them detachable for sitting purposes xD). I had a lot of fun with this outfit, though, especially having to dye the dress and the ribbons to create a gradient color effect.
-Flower Ribbons: Large flowers were from craft store; the ribbons are made of craft foam, covered with cloth and gradient-dyed orange from the halfway point and down. The ribbons are reinforced with wire to create the "defying gravity" look. Both ribbons are detachable; they are connected to the back of the dress itself with magnets and sew-on snaps. (so it was very easy to sit wherever I wanted without having to bend the ribbons!) Buut it was quite a process to figure it out at first. xD
-The dress was patterned and sewed myself. The trim was the hardest to manage since it was more detailed than I thought. Headband was also made and spray painted. Interesting fact that I realized that the headband is the shape of a branch and I thought that was a really cute design LOL.
-The orange 'ribbon' around my legs are actually a roll of elastic piece on each leg, which is why they're able to stay on my leg without falling.
-Normin was created myself. He's not exactly scaled to size because I think I made him a little bigger than necessary. But I'm really satisfied how he came out. - Personal Thoughts:
- I really loved Edna's design. It actually took me a lot longer to finish this outfit than I thought because there are so many little details to look for. However, it's one of my favorite outfits I've created so far.
