Construction Details:

Bodysuit, Cowl, Gloves:
rnI made the bodysuit from 4 way stretch PVC; because PVC doesn’t stretch as much as spandex I made the suit one size up from what I normally take.
rnThe zipper I had custom made by the friendly people down at the Zipper and Leather Depot in Toronto. They did the heavy gauge silver zipper with a ring toggle.
rnThe cowl was made of the same PVC. The hood was rather tricky, but overall, I am very pleased with how it turned out. I added the ear, which have heavy weight interfacing in them to keep their structure.
rnThe gloves….well gloves are always a pain. I made those from the same PVC. They are elbow length. I added black fake nails to them for the claws.

rnThe boots were ones I had already. I got them from Wal-Mart a few years ago for $5…not bad!

rnThe wig is a Cocky Commander Snap from Five Wits Wigs. No styling needed. Just shook it out of the bag and put it on. Done!

Personal Thoughts:

Once upon a time when I was a kid Catwoman was my FAVORITE comic book character ever (Thanks to Michelle Pfieffer in Batman Returns!)
rnIt was only a matter of time before I made a Catwoman costume. I decided to go with the Adam Hughes style one based on the Jim Lee revamp of Selina with the short hair, goggles and Vinyl suit.
rnOf course, I do have the Jim Balent version as well (which I will get photos of eventually) and I do plan on making Batman Returns Catwoman since that was my favorite version of Catwoman.
rnI can also repurpose this costume for Black Widow and Black Cat as well.
