Construction Details:

I made this pretty quickly in only a few days - I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. The white "hakama" pants are linen, the white inner top is cotton, and the red hakamashita is a polyester knit blend. The pants are obviously faaaar from authentic, but I wasn't really too concerned with that just as long as they looked similar enough and would look good with the rest of the outfit. I couldn't find any patterns so I basically just made a giant pair of pants and added pleats. I ordered the socks online and dyed them. I bought a pair of $1 "straw" flip-flops, cut off the plastic straps and added cloth ones instead.
