About this Costume
Construction Details:
Despite this costume being more complicated than expected, it was pretty straight forward.

It's a full A-line skirt with the zig-zag ironed on with double-sided fusible. The designs on the front panel were cut out of iron-on matte and gold foil vinyl, which is then snapped on to skirt.

The belt and torso crest were made from Styrofoam, craft foam, foam board and worbla, which was then primed, painted, and snaps in place as well.

The white part of bodice is spandex structured with boning to help support the torso crest. The pink fabric is a poly-chiffon that I draped with a slight side cowl to create a bit of dimension to the costume. The pink cape is a poly-satin with cowls draped into it.

I used a reverse-mold method for the tiara and wing clips. I made the shapes out of polymer clay and melted the worbla over them. Once the worbla is hard, I peeled it off the "mold" and filled it with model magic and sealed it with worbla once that was hardened. The tiara fastens to my head with wig clips and the wing clips have alligator clips.

The necklace was made from ornaments and curved tubes for jewelry making.

Elf ears from Aradani.
Personal Thoughts:
I've wanted to do Toon Zelda for a long while and I'm happy to finally add her to my costume collection! I wanted to experiment with fabrics and techniques I was not accustomed with, which includes chiffon, baby-hems, boning, iron-on vinyl, ect.
