About this Costume
Construction Details:
The bodice is a fully lined princess seamed bodice made with a pink floral brocace, with silk/silk lining used for the puff sleeves. I added rhinestones instead of buttons for the front, along with extra lace details along the sides and top. The side closes with a zipper. The sleeves have pearls and rhinestones attached to the lace along with small flower details. The skirt is two very large tulle petticoats with lace sewn onto several key layers. The petticoat has a silk overskirt, just a very, very gathered circle skirt with an attach ruffle. The skirt is fully lined. The petal skirt was hand drafted over the base skirt, and then hand gradient dyed. I then attached rhinestones, pearls and lace to both skirts. The bow was made by firestartercosplay! Borrowed it from her because the one I commissioned wasn't finished yet!! The bows on the outfit were bedazzled and stuffed to make them extra cute.
Personal Thoughts:
I absolutely adore Madoka- it was one of the first series I was really invested and interested in! I disliked Madoka as a character at first, but she really grew on me as I appreciated the series for a longer time. I couldn't resist the chance to cosplay her with a full group!!
Because these outfits have been done so many times and are so easily purchased, we decided to put a spin on our costumes, drawing from fashion and historical styles to add details and accessories that would help us stand out as a group!
