About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This was a really easy costume to make. I used a 60's style dress pattern to mimic the boxy shape of the characters and added darts at the front for a slightly more flattering fit.
The bow was stuffed to keep it's shape and I removed the clip-on of the ponytail and replaced it with a brooch that I customized instead. This kept the ponytail secured but also flat, just like in the original design. - Personal Thoughts:
- I really wanted to make the Powerpuff Girls because they are such an iconic part of my childhood. Even years later they still kick ass.
IT was really a fun costume to wear and I loved seeing people's faces light up when they saw me and my friends walking around. Also, due to the very limited time I had, these were quick and easy costumes to make.
Sadly, I don't think I'll ever be wearing this costume again since I do not hangout out with all these particular friends anymore.
