About this Costume
Construction Details:
I altered a leotard pattern and added details accordingly. The entire costume (aside from the bows) is made from various stretch fabrics. The pattern came with a circle skirt and so we decided to stick with that because it fell very nicely! The sleeves keep their shape with craft foam and wire and the hip rolls and glove tops were stuffed with batting.

The staff is completely made from wood, thanks to my dad! He carved the entire white part from several layers of wood glued together. I only sanded and painted it.

The broach was made from a glittery Christmas ornament from the dollar store. I stripped the glitter by soaking the ornament in hot water and scratching it off. Once it was painted, I added the gem and the pin back. My boots are a pair of purple gogo boots with grommets punched into them and laced. My tiara was bought from Catzia.com.
Personal Thoughts:
Saturn was always a dream cosplay for me and I was so happy to not only finally make her, but also help my friends make all the scouts! It was certainly an Otakon to remember.
