Construction Details:

The uniform was made using a heavy suiting fabric. The red stripes were done with bias tape. The eyepatch was made using wonderflex to keep the shape, and was covered with leather to match the belts and straps. The little side pouch things were made in a similar manner, just with craft foam instead of wonderflex.
For Senketsu's eye, I used a large white el panel cut into shape, then layered different colors of transparent folder paper over top to get the yellow, orange, and red colors. The battery pack is hidden in the pack of the shirt behind the sailor cape. The light isn't super noticeable if there's any natural light from outside, but it looks super cool indoors. It runs on a 9V, so if I would keep it on all day I go through about two of them.

I made the scissor blade out of 3/4" thick MDF. I did the rough cut with a band saw, then sanded the details down with a belt sander and dremel. I sealed it with gesso and primer before painting.

Personal Thoughts:

Kill la Kill was definitely not a show I thought I would like going into it, but now it's one of my favorites! I'm on a mission to make as many of Ryuko's outfits as I can now! >:D
