Construction Details:

A lot of handmade pieces, and techniques were done on this costume. I knew going in I would be dying the skirt, but then realized, the pink lace would need to be dyed as well. That snowballed into more dying so that I could have matching pink lace and her pink hoodie be the same hue of pink! Belt was made from scratch, and all the hardware was purchased of Etsy!

top- i really used no pattern for this haha it took 2 mock-ups and fussing around to understand how I wanted my top to be. In real life I knew I wanted more security than her top would allow, so I double-layered the fabrics, and added boning to the halter top. I also modded the front deep-v neckline to be less plunging to also add security. Since games also don't account for closures I did a lace up back!

skirt- It's 3 rectangles that are gathered then each tier is individually dyed before sewing each tier together! I used a stovepot dye method, and used idye poly!

Personal Thoughts:

FFX is my second favorite FF game (fftactics is first!) I've always wanted to cosplay Yuna, and knew someday it would happen. I chose to do gunner Yuna from FFX-2 first since I thought it'd be a really fun costume to make! The details, and color schemes are so beautiful!
