Construction Details:

Fuku:
It's the base fuku leotard I made that works with all the scouts (minus Pluto and Saturn.)There are no zippers in it, it stretches enough to fit through the neck hole. There are a series of snaps along the waist line and front top to hold the skirt, bows and collar on.

Skirt:
The skirt is 2 circles hemmed, then sewn onto a hip roll made of lycra. Some snaps are on the inside to hold it to the fuku.

Collar, Glove Toppers and Bows:
The collar is the same collar pattern I use that I drafted myself. It snaps onto the bodysuit.The bows snap onto the front of the fuku and the lower back hip roll. The front bow is made of a yellow duchess satin and the back bow is the same dull satin in navy. The glove toppers are made of the same dull satin as the skirt and collar. It is cut on the bias, stuffed with craft batting and sewn up. They slide right over the gloves. The gloves are the same white glove I use for all my Sailor Senshi costumes.

Choker, Earring, Brooch and Sword:
The choker is a strip of the dull satin sewn up with a Velcro closure in the back. The earring is a random gold hoop earring I already had. The brooch is a fillable acrylic Christmas ornament painted from the inside. It has some craft foam and brooch clips on the back so it is removable from the bow. The sword is one I bought from a theatrical shop a few years ago. I added some gold cardboard to the handle to make it look similar to hers in design. I added acrylic rhinestones on the blade of the sword similar to the fashion hers are.
Boots:
I bought a base pair of black ankle boots. I added black pleather strips twice around the ankle and once around the foot to get the same look her boots have. I then used M.Graham acrylic paints and custom mixed to achieve the same color as the skirt. This process took quite some time to do since this shade of navy was really dark. I plan on making another version of Uranus' skirt and collar in a bit of a lighter navy.

Wig:
The wig is an Arda one. The style is Blue Steele in dark ash blonde. I cut and styled the bangs and added the curl in the bangs with a straightening iron.

Personal Thoughts:

To complete the circle of scouts, Uranus was my last one that I needed to make/wear to officially say I have been all of them. The opportunity to wear this came when my friend Rankin24 wanted to do a Uranus/Neptune duo at Youmacon 2014.
