Construction Details:

Lace Dress and Gauntlets: The dress is made of a white floral stretch lace. The neck hole and sleeves are interfaced with bias tape. The bottom hem is done with a rolled hem through the serger. There are no zippers in the dress since it’s a stretch fabric. The gauntlets are made of the same lace. They have a small hole in the side for the thumb to poke through.

Jumpsuit:
The jumpsuit is made of a blue-green spandex. The shoulder straps are made with nude lingerie straps to hold the suit up. There are no zippers in the jumpsuit because it is spandex.

Jewelry:
I purchased the black bead necklace at a costume shop. The pink/lilac pearl bracelets I had already. They have a little black ribbon bow on them that really gives it that 80’s look. The belt I made from metallic pink vinyl strapping. The belt just weaves around in the X pattern and snaps into place, as well as buckles up.The socks I had as well. They are elegant anklet socks with a lace frill on the top.

Shoes:
The shoes started off as a nude pair of pumps. I custom painted them and glittered them up with pink/silver glitter. They are the same shoes I wear with my classic Jem costume (light.)

Makeup:
The makeup was done by my sister, who is a professional makeup artist. We decided to do the really light pink look from the cartoon rather than box art with dark pink. I really like the light pink look because it looks more neutral and not so bright. Wearing that much pink eye makeup can be disastrous….but this lighter pink looks really simple and pretty.

Wig:
Same wig for all my Jem variations, Epic Cosplay Nyx in Pink Vanilla Fusion with some extra wefts added in.

Personal Thoughts:

Jem has many fashions...this is probably one of the more tame ones. This outfit is very Madonna like. I really love the lace over dress. I just so happened to have the perfect looking floral print stretch lace on hand so that was enough to motivate me to make this style.
