Shoes: Bought a pair off of Amazon that were beige. I primed them and sprayed them with DesignMaster's Floral Navy Blue spray while using a heat gun on a moderate setting. I did about 5 or so coats to the top and bottom. I used Mod Podge's top coat spray (i do not recommend) It was the only top coat I had at the time, I did about 2 coats, it held up well , there is very minor parts of the paint morphing on the sides, some paint on the bottom of the heels removing but it held up well.
Skirt was made in a circle shape with an invisible zipper in the back. A slit was cut in the front and used fray check. Sewed on white bias tape for the bottom white design. For the underskirt (white) I dug up Wadanohara's first outfit skirt I stopped working on a year ago, and finished it and it was perfect. Also had a petti underneath.
Shirt is one of my favorite parts but was pretty tedious because of the sailor collar, attaching it to the main bodice was a pain, but worked out well. Was my first time doing puffed sleeves, which turned out nicely, but maybe I would have preferred a bit more pouf. Made the white scalloped collar piece which I really like and added two snaps. Made the front bow and attached it with a snap. Bodice is made from 3 parts in the front. 6 buttons on the front hand sewed on. Cuffs are detachable with snaps. I messed up twice, and after much stress I figured out snaps were the way to go!
Hat gave me a really hard time, I ended up using heavy interfacing (which was still too heavy) the underside fabric is actually a really nice sort of watery-looking fabric but you cant really see it.. I do want to re-make the hat. I sewed the stars hanging off of the hat the night before.
Pieces of the staff, (the stars, moon and pvc pipe) were cut before and brought to WA, and I painted them over a few days and cut out the foam pieces, painted them, and glued all of the parts in place, and colored all of the stars on the hat/wand, as well as the moon the night or a few nights before, but it wasn't any serious work. I do want to make her full staff though.
Earrings were made after I found some really nicely shaped beads and were hand colored. - Personal Thoughts:
- My favorite outfit of hers.
