Construction Details:

Armor: Everything is made from EVA foam and pink acrylic. Primed with wood glue first, then filler primer, and finally coated in gold spray paint. LEDs were installed in the gauntlets and pauldrons

Jacket: made with a cheap purple taffeta and bound the edges with gold spandex. Using gold spandex as a bias binding was a pain in the butt. I recommend making the binding at least 1/2" or bigger. I couldn't make it bigger due to the mandarin collar, and I forgot to add cording in before sewing the shell and lining together. Garment weights were added in the tails to give it some body and keep it from sticking everywhere.

Top and bottom: Made of purple vinyl. The top is essentially two triangles with elastic straps for the neck and back. The bottoms are actually skorts with an elastic waistband. I also made the thong out of some black satin bias tape, polyester poplin, and lace.

Hat: I took apart a cheap sailor hat from ebay, and used the existing pattern to draft a hat with the shell fabric. It's interfaced with plastic canvas in the front panel.

Personal Thoughts:

This is a fan-made Popstar skin by Loiza Chen. I joined a big group of girls who all did a champion. We all learned to dance to SNSD's Genie and did a music video! I had alot of fun wearing this costume with my friends, although I was dying in the heels and armor.
