Construction Details:

I looked at all the major fabric stores in BC for a heavyweight satin in the pink-lavender color but to much avail, I found nothing D: In the end, I sacrificed perfect color for weight. So basically I settled with the color I wanted with a super light weight mediocre satin. I interfaced pretty much the entire costume. For props, I used XPS pink foam and the armor was made with a compilation of EVA foam and worbla for the details. It was a lot of work but really fun! My friend even helped me out with the armor portion~

Personal Thoughts:

Literally my first time making a prop by myself from scratch! I feel like I've 1 up'd myself with this costume XD Though that's always what I want to feel when I make a costume more or less. Push myself and wrack my brain a little so I can improve. I was brave enough to cast resin pieces. The last time I casted gems were for my Nia costume from Gurren Lagann 6 years ago! Pretty happy with the costume and I'm planning to only brush up on it even more~ can't wait to wear it to PAX'15 again with improvements!

Styling Notes

Curled the wig with rollers and the hot water method~ then straightened out any super frizzy bits with my own hair iron.

Wig Review

I loooove epic cosplay wigs personally! The quality is amazing. But I'm just awful when it comes to wig styling personally >_< Nonetheless, I'm pretty satisfied with the way it turned out.
