Construction Details:

I don't know why I had such a hard time with the stripes. I'm not super happy with the end result of them. I must have repined them over a dozen times and just could not get it go curve the way I wanted. After working on just the stripes on and off for a week I finally just let them be. I made a one hoop skirt to support the fluff and create the shape I wanted. Ruffles on the hoop, ruffles on the edges of the tulle, ruffles around the neck and arms, even a lace ruffle in the hair!!! I felt like a cupcake!

Personal Thoughts:

A costume I have been thinking about doing for a while, glad I finally got around to it!

Styling Notes

Used a Jeannie and 2 buns. As soon as I got it I took the pony tail out. I made 2 smaller ponytails, stacked on off center. I then gave the bangs a poof, and held it in place with a plastic ring. The buns were then pined to each pony tail and the extra hair wrapped and tucked around. Lot of hair pins and hair spray to keep everything in place!
