About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
the costume is actually a regency dress. even though I bought a pattern to make this regency dress, I barely used the pattern at all. and like Beatrice, I sewed coins into my dress and that's a rock fact! the wig is a ponytail jasmine wig from arda-wigs in dark copper red that I wefted and made into a bun. and one of the bird props I used was actually a Christmas decoration and the others were just ment to go with my cosplay. the entire costume also took me less than a week to finish. 5 days to be exact
- Personal Thoughts:
- this a character I've been dying to do ever since the day I first watched Over The Garden Wall. even before I learned that Beatrice was actually a human, there was something I realy liked about her. I found her even more fascinating after it was revealed she was a human cursed into a blue bird. the wig I styled is the heaviest wig I ever made, but its saprisingly comfterble when I wear it
Wig Details
- How was the wig colored?
- dark copper red
- Styling Notes
- the wig is a ponytail wig from arda-wigs that I wefted and made into a bun. and the ribbon in the bun is a ribbon I found at joan's. and I styled the banes with hair spray. the right side of the banes, I used a hair curler and got 2b freeze spray
- Wig Review
- the wig is actually very heavy. but saprisingly, it doesn't give me a physical headache when I put it on and its actually very comfterble. the wig has at least maybe 90% accuracy or higher when I add in how the bun looks. the bun isn't very accurate like I wanted it to be, but I'm still happy with the results
