About this Costume
Construction Details:
May I bring up that for a male costume there are a lot of circle shape based parts in Sasuke's design? I'm so glad that I've made enough circle skirts to make them work here. rnrnAnyways, top is lined and has a zipper down the front. I added shoulder pads to it to help with the more box illusion that men have. Collar is more circular shaped to give the small at base but big at opening look, then interfaced to stay up. The Uchiha crest was done with heat transfer vinyl. rnrnThe butt cape is again, another circle skirt (well 1/2 circle). When patterning it I put a dart in the mock up to not make the edges flare out so much. To do the padded look at the edge, I put in batting into the bottom portion. The top part, is again, another circle and interfaced. Stays close with large hooks and eyes. rnrnRope belt was a NIGHTMARE. First I made it last and was in that "I have had no sleep and it's hours before I leave shit I need to make this" state. I made so many errors when make the purple tubes for the cording. Basically the rope is a two 6yrd purple casings with 1" rope cording strung through it. I then twist braided the two pieces together and then tied it in his knot design. It stays up really well and even holds my sword in place. BONUS!rnrnPants are heavy duty stretch knit. Super comfy and basic. Black leggins were a pair I had and then made them into stirrups and slip over the sandal. Sandal is just a flip flop modified and used the cut off portions from the leggings to make the part that goes over the foot. Gauntlet are spandex and just slip on.rnrnSword was made by IceMan Props.
Personal Thoughts:
WELL. WELL. My first real crosplay. I have to say this costume has to be the comfiest costume I have ever worn. But yes... SASUKE. Let me tell you how much a Sasuke fangirl I am, well big enough to journey into cosplay territory I never thought I would do (or pull off). With posed a lot challenges I didn't expect, but I'm really happy with the result. Just a few things I want to adjust next time.

Styling Notes
I had to add extra wefts to the sides and to the back for spiking. Wig is a little more puffy around the bangs than I like so I'll need to re-address that. This was styled REALLY quickly in the room the day of and there are a few tweaks I want to make to but, it's a great start.
