Construction Details:

The bodysuit it made from 4-way spandex. The pattern is based off Ruffebutt's one-panel catsuit pattern, then modified to properly fit my proportions and for the design of the costume. The white "shirt" is just sleeves and the front panel, hand sewn in as to not create that issue of seeing the shirt through the spandex. Made from a stretch cotton sateen. The white belt on the legs are made from a white stretch pleather/vinyl. The gloves are made from a two-way pleather that was tinted/dye with leather dye. The boots are covered in the same material. The crystal is a large swarovski crystal, the "crown" was made from worbla and sculpey. The hair clip is made of craft foam and painted.

Personal Thoughts:

I can't begin to describe how incredibly important Final Fantasy IX is to me. It has a HUGE place in my heart, it is my favorite FF, has my favorite protag, and the game as a whole moves me and brings me to tears like nothing else. I first played this game back in 2001, and the amount of love I have for it has only grown over time. Finally making Garnet, a costume I have put off before due to how important it is to me, has been such an experience. I want to improve further on this costume, but I'm incredibly happy with my start.
