About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This was a pretty simple costume to make and it's really comfortable to wear. The dress is made from bottomweight cotton sateen, the majority of which was dyed a light yellow color. I blended together 3 different patterns to get the overall shape I was looking for and then I added in some extra details, like the collar, bow, and waist contrast. The hat came with a ribbon that I ripped off and then replaced with my own ribbon and bow made from the same cotton sateen. My Ioryogi is made out of two shades of blue fleece and some felt. He didn't turn out quite like I wanted, but I think it was a good first attempt at making a plushie. My purse is a tote bag that I heat n' bonded a bird symbol onto and created a longer strap.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I really love Kobato's character and story; she's just so earnest and adorable. I may make some of her other costumes in the future since I have the wig now and a weakness for all things CLAMP.
