About this Costume
Construction Details:
Suit: (aka main body piece) This was modified from a two piece white bathing suit! I cut the top two straps short in order to turn it into a halter top. I added gold ribbon around the edge of the top piece. Then I cut out a weird trapezoid shape and sewed that to the edge of the top and onto the bottom piece. I added in a rectangle to the bottom because I felt it sat too low on my stomach/body. I cut out two long trapezoids and put lace at the bottom. It's pleated a bit and then glued onto the top piece. It's not as form fitting as I wished and reminds me more of a baby doll top, but I'm getting used to it. NOT. I pleated the sides a bit so that it sticks to my waist a bit better.

Sleeves: Normal trapezoid shapes with elastic at the top and pleated at the bottom (also with elastic). Basic stuff.

Pants: Weird shape cut from black organza. The bottom edges are pleated and sewn closer together for the poof effect.

Headwrap: A rectangle with a bit of a curve! I glued/sewned on gold trim then embellished with 3d diamond scrapbook stickers! (I spray painted them gold first... I think they were originally black?)

"Armor": All the armor pieces are made from craft foam! Glue/Water + mod podge base, painted black, gold spray painted, then sealed with a gloss finish!
Armbands: No visible seams! Typical cylinder shape with craft foam layered on top. Stuck on some extra flair...
Cuffs: Clasps together in the back! I also attached black organza for the glove type thing Olivia has. I couldn't find any basic rings so I'm actually using scarf hoops?? or something? Not sure they were on clearance. (you use them to decorate scarfs or something? HAHA). I glued on a basic acrylic gem to cover glue marks...
Anklets: Made the same way as the armbands but with clasps like the cuffs. Best of both worlds I guess. Haha.
Gorget: My favorite part! I patterned the piece out with paper and masking tape, then I cut and glued the craft foam edges together after ironing them. The backside has little pieces of duct tape for reinforcement. I did some embellishing with more craft foam and another acrylic gem.
Belt: Made a fabric pattern and attached two pieces of craft foam together for the length~ It closes with snaps on the front triangle type piece. The circles are also craft foam, and I cut chain and attached jump rings to every piece by hand... added a bell in between each circle for a fun jingle!

Hoops: Made from embroidery hoops, cardboard, wire, craft foam, and spackle. It's a bit heavy and rough around the edges, so I hope to find a better way to make these in the future.
Personal Thoughts:
Much more scandal than Nowi!!

Actually it's really not that bad??
But I jingle! SO MUCH FUN!

TAKE ALL THE SHIPPING PICS PLEASE.

Styling Notes
Came in two pieces, the base then a clip on. It was all super curly originally. I straightened two front strands for the braids and the back of the base a bit. I hair-sprayed like crazy. I put the base into a half ponytail because Olivia'a hair is strange.
Wig Review
Fun stuff!
