About this Costume
Construction Details:
Okayyy, so, where to start with this costume!

The wig is from shop.cosplay.com, it is their Ivy 100CM long wig in light blue. Its a great color! I trimmed the bangs into it while wearing it, because with a "straight" bang cut, you can't really get it right without it being on your head. So that meant a lot of little pointy plastic hairs in my eyeballs. I also trimmed the side hair pieces into the wig.

The pink dress is made from some clearance knit fabric I found at joanns. I followed the official reference art sheet as well as I could, so I thought that a lighter pink matched better. The top part was drafted from a camisole tank I had and edited to have a lower neckline. I had to hand sew the entire inner edge, even along the back criss-cross, using ball-tipped needles so it wouldn't tear the fabric. The yellow along the sleeves was some similar knit I had laying around that I hand-ruffled. The skirt was just a pleated skirt with the same yellow fabric added to the bottom edge.

The socks and gloves were STUPID. For the socks I wrapped one of my legs in glad press-n-seal and cut a seam down the back. I had originally purchased some purple 2-way stretch fabric, finished the socks and was completely unhappy with them. So I ordered some fabric online and got the wrong color! (ALWAYS ORDER SWATCHES, don't be impatient like me). After I finally got the right color 4-WAY stretch fabric, I went to town making the socks and gloves.

For the gloves, I traced my hand flat (with fingers wide) on a piece of paper and then traced that onto some tissue paper. I then pinned the tissue paper to the fabric using a ridiculous amount of pins. I then ran the whole thing, paper and all, through my machine. I opted not to use proper fourchettes in my gloves because I feel like it adds yucky bulk, when its supposed to be skin-tight. The only way this method of glove making works is if you use 4-way stretch fabric!!!

The underwear I made completely myself with purple fold-over elastic from joanns. The stripe fabric was purchased online and lined with a stretch nude fabric. The little bows were hand-made by me and carefully tacked on. I also made the purple flower that I need to get pictures of eventually. I can't really recommend hand making the undergarments, if you can purchase a bikini or underwear and modify it, it would probably look better. But I was interested in seeing how accurate I could get the costume.

The shoes were purchased off of Ebay. I hate painting shoes because I hate flaky-ness so although I wasn't super thrilled with the color, it works.
Personal Thoughts:
Overall I really love this costume, its sexy, flirty, and fun. The character was definitely made for an out-going, confident, flirty young girl who isn't afraid to show off her panties. I feel like this kinda came naturally to me lol

Wig Review
For whatever reason, maybe the length, this wig seems to tangle a lot more than the other cosplay.com wigs I have purchased. It is also tight around my head, though I do have a big head.
