Construction Details:

I tried to get the jacket to look as military-like as possible. This meant clean cut and wrinkle-free. I chose a polyester fabric that irons neatly and doesn't wrinkle. To add a more dramatic accent, I used polyester satin for the bias tape trim, which was sewn on with no top stitching on either side. The jacket is fully lined with cotton for ease on the skin and structured with interfacing to keep a definite, solid shape.

The Versian gun was my first real attempt at using worbla. I built it from scratch.

Personal Thoughts:

I love the depth of Slaine's character. There's layer upon layer with him. The moment I saw him, the spark and inspiration to cosplay him was instantaneous. I absolutely love this character.
