Construction Details:

The whole dress is made from a combination of yellow casa satin and chiffon. The skirt is in two layers, one being the drawstring rouched layer and the other being a gathered layer (each being a layer of chiffon and one of satin) with a serged narrow hem. I made the roses myself by burning the petal edges and sewing together. The bodice is a steel-boned corset, and the shoulderpiece is made from the same overlay style as the skirt, with three beads sewn into the center. It laces up in the back.

Personal Thoughts:

A LITERAL DREAM COME TRUE? I took a lot of artistic liberties on this costume because I had a vision of how I wanted it to look, and it was totally worth it. I'm so happy with it, it's my new baby.

Styling Notes

I ventilated her widow's peak myself, which took a LONG time and I am probably never doing that again. Then comes the actual styling, which was not so bad but still takes time.
