About this Costume
Construction Details:
From top to bottom: I bought a white trillby with a fully upturned brim on Amazon because boaters didn't seem to exist, and I tied a black ribbon around it and glued a couple feathers into the center of the fake bow. I literally found said feathers on the floor of Joann, so I'm assuming they carry those mint green ones. The necklace cord and charm were bought from Joann as well.

The purple turtleneck was made from a sheeny knit (which I won't attempt to work with again), and the jacket and skirts are the wrong side of a lovely rosy pink satin. The pink sequined trim was bought from Britex fabrics in SF (both widths), and I believe Chira got the blue lace trim and our fur trim from the Fashion District (she purchased most of our supplies and distributed them). The blue ruffle lace on the bottom was purchased by her in Japan.

The jacket was made with a Simplicity pattern that I adjusted to have a hood and rounded the corners to compensate for the fur trim. The turtleneck was drafted from scratch using my own measurements, the skirts are both circle skirts of varying lengths, and the "buttcape" is a half-circle skirt cut in a crescent shape to create the open shape in the front. The boots and gloves were both purchased and I sewed/glued the fur trim onto them. The fur trim was created by making tubes and stuffing it with 1" cotton batting.
Personal Thoughts:
This costume was a labor of love, but I'm so happy with the turnout!! Fluffy snow princess cupcakes 5ever.
