About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Coat: Made with poplin (I LOOOOOOOOVE POPLIN). Used and modified an old Vogue coat pattern. Hand-sewed fur trim, buttons, and gold trim. Pauldrons were made with EVA foam as a base then, covered with Worbla. They attach to the coat with velcro.
Waistcoat: Heavily modified a vest pattern to get the right shape and size. Made with broadcloth and poplin.
Dress: This dress was made and re-made 3 times to get the exact shape I wanted. Even afterwards, I hacked off more inches from the bottom hem for it to be accurate. Made with broadcloth.
Gloves (I made two different gloves, due to the fact that we would have to be attaching a butt load of worbla to one.) One glove is made out of a nice sandy brown pleather. I used a pattern for both because, I wanted it to a be a snug fit. The other glove was made out of a black spandex, which, turned out to be the perfect base for the worbla gauntlet!
Gaunlet: Made out of EVA foam and worbla. The details and claws were worbla. We hot glued everything to my arm while I had the spandex glove on...
Boots, socks and goggles were all bought.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I'm totally in love with how cute Lady Four is and her design is probably the most simple between all the sisters (and I love it for being so simple). There is a lot of things I want to add or fix in the future but, for now, it is absolutely perfect to wear!
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- Just cut styled into Four's signature hairstyle (it's similar to Zero's). Light hairspray to keep bang shape. Also, straightened to help keep tangling to a minimum.
- Wig Review
- Tangles easily but, soft and luxurious! I love the color!
