Construction Details:

I made the fabric for the top by attaching strips of a textured deep red fabric in varying angles and directions, The back closes like a corset. The skirt is in two pieces - a fur tube with elastic waistband under a leather belt with leather strips. The spikes are real metal and the skulls were sculpted by me and molded in resin. Personal Thoughts:

I was asked to do this costume with Countess Canterbury to pair with her amazing Hiccup. I wasn't super excited until I got advance tickets to the second movie and fell in love with the woman Astrid becomes. I spent the next week completing the costume and debuted it with my Hiccup at my local theater the night it opened and haven't wanted to take it off since. I was forced to learn a number of new techniques to complete this costume and it's become one of my proudest in my portfolio.

Styling Notes

I added wefts to the braid for fullness then trimmed the ends. I styled and trimmed the bangs and wrapped a leather band around the forehead.
