Construction Details:

The shirt had to be modified several times, both the pattern and the garment, with darts, flared sleeves, hand-made trim, and an invisible zipper going up the center front seam. The cincher is a black vinyl, freehanded, with satin cording lacing it up. The skirt is a circle skirt with a waistband, hook and eye, and a centered zipper. There a 3-layer netting petticoat, with 36 feet of silk ribbon hand-gathered to a bias tape trim on the edge of the netting. There's six feet of trim that was hand-pleated and sewn onto the underside of the skirt hem. The belt is black pleather with grommets and satin cording in the back. The emblem is layered craft foam, the bullets were purchased and then painted, and attached with E6000 (after much trial and error, mostly error). The cape is a hand-drafted single layer of suiting, with a lined hood. Instead of seams on the cape, I used FrayCheck, to avoid bulk and give it a more accurate look. The cross pins were purchased online. The boots were formerly my everyday footware, and then I relaced them with satin cording, used the same trim as the rest of the costume, and painted the bottoms with acrylic paint and then sealed it with Polyurethane sealant spray.

Personal Thoughts:

Blood, sweat, and tears all literally went into this costume.
