rnIt starts with a wire base which you cover with sprayable foam then carve down into a thinner shape. Once it is fully dry - make sure of this because it can take more than a day depending - you add a layer of light weight clay to make it more stable. On top of that you add a layer of warbla to stop cracking. Smooth and then paint.

rnI want to make my antlers again because they did not end up as thin, smooth and light as I wanted but still fairly good for a first try. I will warn that the layers can add up, so as thin as you can manage at the foam layer, the better you will be moving forward.
