Construction Details:

Shirt and pants are cotton sateen. Vest is a simple cotton. Belt and gold trims are a polyester sateen (pretty sure that's what it was anyway). The boots are shoe covers made out of a spandexy material with the gold parts painted on. Swords are Halloween props from Joanns. The scar is liquid latex and toilet paper ha~

Personal Thoughts:

Originally debuted at NYCC 2012, fixed up the parts I didn't like and worn again for Anime Boston 2013 and Otakon 2014. This costume gave me HELL. This is literally the only costume I have ever cried actual tears over. And it wasn’t cause it was particularly difficult. It was because I piled on working on other costumes in addition with it and it stressed me out SO MUCH. But despite that, I still consider him a favorite. I don’t wear him that often, but every time I do, it gets a great response. And this costume also photographs REALLY well I think. I don’t recognize myself sometimes when I wear it.
