Construction Details:

Patchwork sleeves were made by laying cut outs of 5 different fabrics over a custom sleeve pattern, pinning and sewing them together and then hand stitching details over the seams. Body of outfit is a tube-like dress, serged and stitch-witch finished over another tube like dress with satin lining and stitched together at the top. All seams were serged and than folded and stitched witched for a super clean finish!! Really proud of how cleanly i finished this costume! Hat is interfacing with fabric over top and bottom seam stitch witched into place with hand stitching for the patches. Tights were bought and sewn together. Shoulder fur is synthetic fur dyed with fabric paint to give it an old matted appearance. I really like the results of this technique but the idea of what might happen if it gets wet is terrifying!! Wig is an ebay purchase.

The Last Unicorn is such a beautiful and ridiculous classic, it was a lot of fun to actualize the crazy designs !
