Construction Details:

Tailcoat modified from a costume pattern, made of red cotton sateen. Boot covers of the same material. The baton is modified from an orchestral baton, covered in Apoxie Sculpt and sanded to hell and back. The hat is modified from a buckram shako base with plastic sheeting and wire inside to keep everything in place; the cannon is made of sintra sheets with apoxie sculpt to hide the seams and the "wings" are crappy foam covered in paperclay and apoxie sculpt. The monkey was made from tinfoil/paperclay with craft foam.

Personal Thoughts:

this hat is the worst. I have lots to fix on this. Don't try to make a costume in a week and a half, kids. All nighters are not worth it.
