Construction Details:

I know the bodysuit should technically be more armor-based but I didn't have it in me to make it that way, so I did a multi-paneled bodysuit instead. The bodysuit is made from a sheeny spandex--I made a mockup from some clearance fabric to figure out the panels. The cape is the same spandex and lined with purple milliskin spandex. The bat sign is some faux stretch leather and fabric glued on. I attempted to make my own cowl out of latex, but the mold didn't go as planned and I lost an ear in the process, so I commissioned mine from Reevsfx. The gloves were made from a faux stretch leather, and the belt was cut out of EVA foam. I carved the shapes into the belt with the edge of a pair of scissors, and closes with velcro in the back. All of the yellow parts were painted with Angelus leather paint to match.

Personal Thoughts:

BATGIRL WAS MY HERO GROWING UP so getting to wear this for Halloween was an absolute dream!! I'm definitely planning to fix this up and finish what didn't get done for a con, so it's still in-progress, but I wore it anyway because I would've been really heartbroken if I didn't wear it, and I still won the office costume contest! More Babs sooooon~
