About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Cloak-Base cloak is made from velvet. It is unlined as I had to sew it by hand and I was not up for sewing it twice. Fur was leftover from my Koromaru plush, sewn into a tube and then turned inside out. It was then attached to the hood. There's a clasp sewn in to keep the cloak closed. The wolf mask I bought online and then painted it a darker color(it was too shiny for my taste). I attached black fabric to the back to cover the eyeholes and then used the fabric, as well as the hooks for the strap for the mask to attach it to the fur cloak.
Red tank top and pants are store bought.
Black overdress- Handsewn(not fun >_>) I used two patterns for this. One for the bodice and another for the skirt. Black trim was then sewn onto the front.
Necklace- Made from hot glue. After getting the height and length it was supposed to be, I just used the doll's one for reference and free-handed it. It was then painted with metallic acrylic paint.
Wig- I bought two wigs, a white and a black one. I ripped out wefts from the black wig(in the back so it is unseen from the outside) and attached it to this wig. Maybe I'll use the black wig for a different version of Cerise? - Personal Thoughts:
- I have to thank my sister for getting the books from the library. After reading the first and second ones I fell in love with Cerise's character. Her outfits did not really speak to me though at least, until I stumbled upon her Cerise Wolf version. After seeing it, I knew I had to cosplay it! :D
