Construction Details:

I used the Butterick B4939 Gown C pattern, a nightgown. I adapted the sleeves by adding cuffs, and added the elastic belt. I used an apron we already had. I could NOT find a straw hat that fit, so I ended up cutting off the brim and cutting triangular and trapezoidal pieces to insert into a slit in the back. It's held together with duct tape and staples - not particularly sturdy!
