About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The gown has a corset built into it with plastic zip tires for boning. The back laces up and has a high collar like Cersei's red S4 gown, covered by faux fur. In total I used 11 yards of wide-woven cream satin, because I liked the texture's elegant look and felt that fabric type would have been used then.
I made my jewelry crown by 3D printing pieces and wire-bending. I came up with the design based on book descriptions and research on Indian jewelry. I drilled into the 3D-printed base pieces and used dimensional paint for decoration. The rest was just play with 20 gauge wire and glass beads.
I am looking into embroidering/beading wolves/horses onto it, since Lyanna was such an avid rider. Maybe even have a laughing tree shield? ;D Please someone get that reference. - Personal Thoughts:
- This is part of my latest couple-cosplay with Cobheran! <3 Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. We suspect that perhaps there was more of a love story between these two than the show let on. It's actually one of our favorite A Song of Ice and Fire couples. I truly hope they do flashbacks of them on the show, because I would love to see the visuals on them.
