Construction Details:

The white shirt and wrist cuffs were made of white cotton sateen and trimmed with orange ribbon tape. The cuffs have adorable gold heart buttons that you might catch in some pictures. The double breasted vest was one of the toughest pieces to make. The vest itself is made of navy cotton sateen and lined, with a hook and eye closure in the center. The faux pockets and trims were made cutting satin with a hot knife and then heat n’ bond them in their place. There are 16 gold buttons on the entire vest itself, each of them hand sewn into place. The front panel is lined and interfaced to give it body, then decorated with the gold bias trim, gold cording and buttons. It is help in place with snaps that are placed on the back and on the vest. The skirts are simple circle skirts, trimmed with white ribbon, and hemmed with horse hair braiding to give them structure. The mint side skirt is made of chiffon and gathered, and snaps directly on to my waistband. I decided to bling the side skirt by hot fixing Swarovski crystals on the ottom. My hair bow is made of polyblend and hair clip directly attached to it. My shoes were painted navy and then I attached pieces of the satin for the baby blue trim. The leg warmers were made out of navy cotton sateen and attached to white spandex so they wouldn’t fall down and be easy to wear.

I’m planning on making Nagisa’s kirara and micsaber in the future.

Personal Thoughts:

I’ve simply adored Nagisa since the first time I watched AKB0048 and I just loved her outfit in the second season. The outfit was labor of love and perhaps one of the cleanest constructions I’ve made to date.
