About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
I bought a Kwik Sew pattern for the body suit, but in the end I altered it so much that I might as well have drafted the pattern myself. The bodysuit is made from black wet look spandex and yellow milliskin spandex. I ended up lining the yellow portions with some leftover cotton lyrca because the milliskin was a bit too sheer; however, this meant that I had to double up on my 1 yellow glove and both boot covers so that all the yellow pieces would look uniform. My armored arm is made from craft foam and worbla (shoulder pauldron) covered in gunmetal grey metallic spandex; everything secures with velcro. My sword ended up being a bit of a rush job, it's made out of a wooden sword base that I sanded down a bit and ripped the hilt off of. I made a new hilt out of worbla and attempted to smooth things out with some gesso and silver paint.
- Personal Thoughts:
- The first of many Magik costumes (probably). I love X-men and Magik is just too badass not to cosplay.
Wig Details
- Wig Review
- Eowyn is a ridiculously thick longer wig, which is nice if that's what you're going for, but it ended up tangling more than other long wigs that I've gotten from Arda.
