Construction Details:

Top- I took apart the top of my Gakuko cosplay and altered the heck out of it to turn it into Emerald's jacket. Snaps are used to put it on(there is one at the back of the neck and the other at the underbust area). The black bias was harvested from my Tamaki cosplay and most of it was hand sewed on. The ones on the part that go around the neck I did by machine so the black thread would not be visible on the underside. The emerald design on the back was hand embroidered on. The green band is cut from a t-shirt that I attached onto the jacket. Originally I was going to have it be a separate piece but that ended up not working out.

Personal Thoughts:

I've been wanting to cosplay a RWBY ever since Season 1. However, the main quartet has been cosplayed a lot so I did not want to cosplay any of them. When Emerald appeared in S2, I really liked her personality so I thought it would be fun to cosplay her. :)
