Construction Details:

Dress & Boot covers:
The dress was a self drafted pattern by me. It has all accurate seam lines. The only thing I didn't add to this dress was all the white piping. I am going back to fix that though!
The dress has an invisible zipper up the back and some built in underwear (this dress is short!)
The dress is made of stretch knit so I got an overall great fit with it.
The boots are just boot covers made of the same silver knit fabric and pulled over a pump style shoe.

Hair:
I can use most of my real hair for this. The ponytail is a clip on ponytail to add more volume and the flipped out style. My hair is far too long to be Vanessa, and her hair in the film looks to be a pony extension.

Personal Thoughts:

I have mentioned before that Felicity is my favorite Austin Powers gal. I have gotten quite a few wears out of Felicity and I wanted something a little different from the Austin Powers franchise. My friend Del (DelfromHellStudios) is an Austin Powers impersonator that I sometimes tag along with. Our friend Dr. Stevil also joins in on this calamity so we have a little Austin Powers gang that sometimes shows up to certain cons.
My second fav Austin Powers lady is Vanessa Kensington. Elizabeth Hurley is so awesome and she looked stunning as Vanessa. I always loved her silver prisoner’s dress and I just so happened to have some silver metallic knit fabric on hand already. I only paid $7 total for this silver fabric, so this costume really didn't cost me much at all.
